About

The cottage was once thought to be an old dairy and has been renovated inside and fitted with a new roof to provide short term character accommodation.

It is fully self contained with its own shower and toilet facilities but no laundry. It has solar gas boosted hot water, solar electricity, slow combustion wood heating (with wood provided) or electric heating for the cooler months. There is under cover parking for a small vehicle, digital TV and free WiFi Internet access.

There is an abundance of bird life and native bottle brush trees with fruit and nut trees if you wish to pick them yourself. That's if you can get to them before the birds or possums do!

The Rooms

The main bedroom has a double bed, a country kitchen table and chairs, the TV and a couple of lounge chairs. The Slow combustion heater is in the corner near to the kitchenette.

The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, toaster, electric frypan and electric kettle with enough crockery and cutlery to cook your own breakfast.

Down the corridor is the bathroom and children’s bedroom with a bunk bed and wardrobe.

All linen, towels, complimentary tea, coffee and milk are also provided.

Customer Testimonials ...

"This is the second year we have spent a weekend at Talbot Hill Farm B&B, and we love it here. The countryside rivals any English countryside (we are originally from the UK); the hills, the dales, the views, the Blue Lake - beautiful.

Anne and Ian are lovely people and we look forward to our next stay here."   Corinne and Nigel, Adelaide 6/05/2012

"Excellent place to stay! Country style accommodation with minutes to city." Ivan, Angus and Samuel, Hong Kong 6/04/2012
